Amid the ongoing survey of Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi, a similar petition was filed to order a survey of Shahi Idgah Mosque, which was built on Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi.

Manish Yadav, one of the petitioners calling for a video survey, moved an application for the appointment of an advocate commissioner for a video survey of Shahi Idgah Mosque. He also moved an application seeking an injunction to restrain opposite parties from removing the religious signs on the walls and damaging the evidence that proves that the mosque was built on Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi.

Manish Yadav, in his petition, said, “Religious artefacts, ancient inspections and mythological evidence related to Hindu religion exists on Idgah premises. These facts need to be presented before the court.”

Mathura Court will hear the Manish Yadav’s petition on July 1. Nine cases are pending which are related to Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque. Mathura Court will hear one of the petitions on May 19.

Allahabad High Court directed Mathura Court to dispose of all the cases related to Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque in four months.

Coincidentally, this comes after the Varanasi Court appointed advocate commissioner Ajay Mishra for a video survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque.
