Series of Attacks on Hindu Religious Processions an International Conspiracy to Divide, Defame Bharat, Says VHP

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) expressed its deep concern over the recent developments in the country. Multiple Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti Shobha Yatras had been attacked by the Islamist mob.

Calling these attacks an act of terror on the Hindu society, the VHP demanded that the perpetrators must be booked under the stringent provisions of the National Security Act (NSA). It also termed these terrorist attacks an international conspiracy to defame and divide Bharat.

The VHP said it “believes that these attacks are acts of terrorism. Exemplary action under the National Security Act (NSA) should be taken against every attacker, their supporters and hosts, lone wolves and sleeper cells. Al-Zawahari’s recent video makes it clear that this is an international conspiracy.”

In February this month, some Muslim girls in Karnataka suddenly started demanding that they be allowed in the classroom in a burqa. When the administration denied permission, they moved to the Karnataka High Court. The High Court, in its ruling, dismissed the petition of Muslim girls saying the burqa/hijab is not an essential practice in Islam.

Multiple media investigations later revealed how Islamist organisation the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its campus arm, the Campus Front of India (CFI), had orchestrated the burqa controversy to disturb the peace and harmony in the society.

Dr Surendra Jain, Joint General Secretary of the VHP, said, “The role of PFI–a terrorist organisation of Bharat–is now clearly coming to the fore–These violent attacks are getting financial, advocacy and political patronage from global anti-India tool-kit gangs. Unfortunately, most of the Muslim leaders of Bharat, the Congress Party and all the parties that have come out of its womb have been standing by these jihadi aggressors.”

“Everywhere from TV debate panels to roads and courts of law, this tool kit gang has made massive mobilisations to give covering fire to the jihadi agenda and activities. Efforts to instigate Muslims on social media are also being made by many wealthy jihadis living abroad. In recent days, a big mobilisation by these jihadi elements on social media was noticeable. They are leaving no stone unturned in creating anti-Bharat ecology. It came to the fore that 87% of such elements are operating from outside Bharat,” he added.

Muslims across the world observe fast in the holy month of Ramadan. It is in the holy month of Ramadan when so many attacks on Hindu religious processions have been observed. Dr Jain said, “This barbaric violence is taking place in the so-called holy month of Ramadan. To a Jihadi does holiness and sanctity mean genocide of Hindus, attempts to rape women, demolishing temples, looting houses, business establishments and setting them on fire, firing on police personnel, setting Dalit houses on fire and insulting their women folk?”

In an attempt to whitewash the terrorist activities of the Jihadists, the jihadi ecosystem has been trying to set the narrative that the attacks on Hindu religious processions happened because ‘provocative slogans’ were raised in such processions.

Commenting on it, Dr Jain said, “One thing is repeated ad infinitum that ‘provocative’ slogans were raised. Which ‘provocative’ slogans? How can ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ be ‘provocative’ slogans while raising ‘Wajib-ul-Qatl’ (‘deserving murder’) slogans like ‘Sar dhad se judaa hoga’ (‘You will be beheaded’), ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’ (‘India will be broken to pieces’) in programmes of fundamentalists are not ‘provocative’ slogans?”

Catching the bull by its horns, Dr Jain said, “The most provocative slogan in world history is: “La ilaha illallah Muhammadur rasulullah” (“There is no god but ‘Allah’, and Muhammad is the last messenger of ‘Allah’.”). Do they not try to provoke Hindus and for that matter any non-Muslim anywhere by five times trying to inject through high volume loudspeaker Azans everyday that: ‘Only and only ‘Allah’ can be worshiped and none else and also there can be no messenger whosoever in the world after Muhammad’? If they justify attacks on Ram Navami under the pretexts of ‘provocative’ slogans, then what the Hindus should do against their slogans?”

On April 1, a religious procession in Rajasthan’s Karauli came under heavy attack by Islamists. Many Hindu houses and shops were burnt and looted. Feeling helpless in the Congress-ruled Rajasthan, many Hindus started moving from the area. Such forced migration has happened in other places too.

Requesting Hindus not to move from their native places because of the fear of the jihadis, Dr Jain said, “The VHP also calls upon the Hindu society that ‘not Palaayan, but Paraakram’ (‘not escapism, but gallantry’) has been the resolve of the Hindu tradition. Gallant Hindus have been behaving very bravely and honourably in dangerous or difficult situations. Where the governments are taking strict action against the rioters, we must support the government there and where the governments are with the rioters, we must awaken the Hindu gallantry there. We have to create conditions for living a life of self-esteem, refinement, grace and dignity without being afraid of jihadi rioters. The rioters must remember this is not 1946! A Hindu with determination, bravery and gallantry will not allow the jihadi conspiracies to succeed!”

Dr Jain appealed to all the governments and political parties of the country to “understand and appreciate the subordinate importance of their political interest vis-à-vis the national interest!” and “take the country on the path of sustainable development!”.
