New Delhi: In a strict warning to the Islamists who attacked the Shobha Yatra on Hanuman Jayanti in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Saturday (April 16), the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) said that they must keep in mind the consequences if the Hindu society start retaliating the attacks.

VHP Joint General Secretary Dr. Surendra Jain said, “What happened in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Saturday (April 16) was not a riot but a pre-planned terror attack on the Hindu society. The Terrorists must keep in mind the consequences if the Hindu society start retaliating the attacks.”

He appealed the Union government to not test the patience of the Hindu society and take immediate actions against those who caused the trouble.

Dr. Jain said that if the attack on the Shobha Yatra was not pre-planned where did they get so much of stone on such a short notice. The pattern of attacks on all the Shobha Yatras on Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti are the same.

On the occasion of Ram Navami on April 10, many Shobha Yatras in different states were attacked by Islamists.

In the Jahangirpuri Shobha Yatra, the trouble started when the Yatra reached the C-Block. A shot was fired at a Delhi police personnel. The attacker has been identified as one Aslam.

In a statement, Dr. Jain said, “The VHP believes that these attacks are acts of terrorism. Exemplary action under the National Security Act (NSA) should be taken against every attacker, their supporters and hosts, lone wolves and sleeper cells. Al-Zawahari’s recent video makes it clear that this is an international conspiracy. The role of PFI – a terrorist organization of Bharat – is now clearly coming to the fore. These violent attacks are getting financial, advocacy and political patronage from global anti-India tool-kit gangs.”

“Unfortunately, most of the Muslim leaders of Bharat, the Congress Party and all the parties that have come out of its womb have been standing by these jihadi aggressors. Everywhere from TV debate panels to roads and courts of law, this tool kit gang has made massive mobilizations to give covering fire to the jihadi agenda and activities. Efforts to instigate Muslims on social media are also being made by many wealthy jihadis living abroad,” he further added.

Local residents of Jahangirpuri alleged that the C-Block, where the trouble started, is inhabited by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and Rohingyas. The Delhi government had actively provided the much-needed support for the settlement of the Rohingyas.

A murderous Muslim mob had attacked the ISKCON Radhakanta temple in Dhaka on March 17 in the presence of police when preparations were underway for Gaura Purnima celebration.

In October last year, during Durga pooja festivities, massive anti-Hindu violence had broken out in Bangladesh. Multiple pooja pandals were destroyed.
