ISKCON's press statement condemned the attack on the Hindu community in Bangladesh and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.

Anuttama Das, ISKCON Minister of Communications, released a press statement in which he condemned the attacks and expressed condolences for the devotees who lost their lives.

He demanded strict action against the perpetrators who burned, vandalised and destroyed the temple properties. He also mentioned the attacks on Hindus that happened between October 13 to October 15 and said several innocent members of the Hindu community were killed for no reason other than their religious affiliation.

Anuttama Das called upon the government to take strict against the perpetrators and take immediate steps to provide security to the minorities in Bangladesh, including Hindus, Buddhists and Christians.

He demanded that the criminals behind these murderous attacks be held accountable and punished to the full extent of the law and said the attacks on minorities undermined the peace and well-being of the minorities in Bangladesh.

On Friday, a Muslim mob attacked the ISKCON temple in the Noakhali area and killed one 25-year-old devotee Partha Das and destroyed the temple and many idols on the premises.

The perpetrators vandalised six Daniapara Maha Shoshan Kali Mandir idols at Rashunia union in Sirajdikhan Upazila of Munshiganj. The temple had no security, and its main entrance lock was found broken, and all the idols in the temple were vandalised.

The violent attacks by the Muslims against Hindus started on Wednesday (October 13) when multiple mobs attacked many pooja pandals. The Islamists justified the anti-Hindu riots on the grounds, saying the devotees desecrated Quran. The Islamists have been using such made-up narratives to justify their violent anti-Hindu riots for years.
