Guwahati: Another frightening incident of “Love Jihad” has come to light in Assam, where the victim Hindu girl had to commit suicide for her fraud Muslim boyfriend. Rekibuddin became Sanjay and trapped a Hindu girl in love. The accused Muslim man Rekkibuddin Ahmed made the girl's intimate pictures viral on Facebook. The humiliated poor girl had to kill herself to save her self-pride. The accused Rekibuddin Ahmed belongs to the Nalbari district of Assam. By profession, a junior engineer, Rekibuddin worked in a private construction company. He was posted in the Bandhmari area of Tezpur town, where he was engaged in a bridge construction job for his company. He introduced himself as Sanjay Talukdar from the Rangia area of Kamrup district.

Rekibuddin alias Sanjay was introduced to a local Hiya Daimari of the same locality. Sanjay and Hiya became friends, and they fell in love. But after some time, Hiya came to know that Sanjay is actually Rekibuddin Ahmed of Nalbari district. The higher secondary school girl was in shock.

She broke the relation with Rekibuddin Ahmed. But the culprit, Rekibuddin, started blackmailing Hiya Daimari. Hiya’s close friends and family alleged that her fraud lover, Rekibuddin, mentally tortured and harassed her for a long time. One of Hiya's close friends said that the accused man forced her to marry him by converting to Islam. But she refused to do so.

Rekibuddin finally made intimate pictures of the school girl viral on Facebook. The below eighteen girl was divested on this incident and committed suicide on 5th August. The poor girl, in shame and humiliation, set herself ablaze, putting kerosene on her body. Her family lodged an FIR in Tezpur, accusing Rekibuddin responsible for her death and making her personal pictures viral on social media. Immediately after the incident, Rekibuddin fled from Tezpur. He was absconding in different places of lower Assam for ten days. Finally, on 16th August, Tezpur police, who searched for the accused, arrested Rekibuddin from Nalbari. Investigating police officers claim that they have found evidence where it is clear that the girl’s personal pictures were made viral by the fraud Rekibuddin. Tezpur police have taken Rekibuddin in their custody for further investigation. The deceased girl’s family demands an exemplary punishment for the culprit so that nobody dared to repeat this type of heinous crime in the future.
