Uttar Pradesh assembly polls are expected early next year and, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remains hugely popular amongst the voters.
The majority in Uttar Pradesh believe Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will return to power after the assembly polls early next year.
The term of the current assembly is ending in March next year and polls are expected in January-February.
The IANS-CVoter survey found, 52 percent of respondents strongly believed the Bharatiya Janata Party would form the government after the assembly polls and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would take oath for the consecutive second term.
IN 2017 assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party won a whopping 312 seats out of 403 seats in the assembly, with allies bringing another 12 seats. Yogi Adityanath was a Lok Sabha member from Gorakhpur, was anointed chief minister of the state.
Under his leadership, the BJP did exceedingly well in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, winning 62 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats, with ally Apna Dal bringing another two seats.
In the just concluded local body elections, the party performed very well with the opposition wiped out.
In many press interviews, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has exuberated confidence that the party would return to power with over 300 seats.
