Melinda was reportedly unhappy with Bill's conduct in many gender-related issues at the workplace.

The New York Times reported, “On at least a few occasions, Mr. Gates pursued women who worked for him at Microsoft and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, according to people with direct knowledge of his overtures.”

In 2000, Bill approached a Microsoft employee to start an intimate relationship. In 2019, Microsoft’s board of directors started an inquiry into it. Gates admitted he had an affair with the company’s employee, which ended amicably.

Melinda Gates was not happy with Bill’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sex trafficking and later committed suicide.

The NYT reported, “Long after they (Bill and Melinda Gates) married in 1994, Mr. Gates would occasionally pursue women in the office.”

It further noted, “Mr. Gates was known for making clumsy approaches to women in and out of the office. His behavior fueled widespread chatter among employees about his personal life.”
