Terrorists shot dead a soldier Friday in Anantnag in Kashmir.
Mohammed Saleem Akhoon was with the Territorial Army and was on leave since March 25.
He was shot dead when he was near his house.
Syed Ata Hasnain, Lt Gn (Rtd) said, “After a long break, the OGW networks are reviving in Kashmir. Abduction of policemen and soldiers is easy while they are on leave. It is the public which can put an end to this trend.”
He added, “Strong public messaging to terrorists and OGWs must emanate against this.”
OGW is an over ground worker who helps the terrorists in tracking the movement of soldiers and also keeps them updated about activities which helps them in carrying out attacks.
