New Delhi: In the background of NITI Ayog listing 92 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for disinvestment, the Public Sector National Coordination Committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, in a meeting, decided to hold nationwide ‘Jagaran Abhiyan’ (Awareness Programme) from September 1st to 7th, 2019. New Delhi: In the background of NITI Ayog listing 92 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for disinvestment, the Public Sector National Coordination Committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, in a meeting, decided to hold nationwide ‘Jagaran Abhiyan’ (Awareness Programme) from September 1st to 7th, 2019. Unit level meetings, dharna, processions etc will be conducted during the ‘Save PSUs Campaign’.
 

 
 
 
On November 15, a mammoth National convention of PSU employees will be held in Delhi. The convention would prepare a policy document on the role of PSUs in nation building, release a Charter of Demands of PSU workers and declare future agitation programme. As a prelude to it, Industry wise seminars, a roundtable discussion of trade unions, management and experts will be conducted during July-August, 2019. At the national level, meetings will be held with policymakers and Government. Further, parliamentarians and other dignitaries will be contacted as part of a mass contact programme.
 
The meeting was attended by Union representatives from sectors like Coal, non-coal minings, banking, insurance, steel, shipping, port & dock and from PSENC which includes BSNL, MTNL, IOC, ONGC, FCI, Aviation, NTPC, NHPC, POWER GRID, GAIL, BHEL, HAL, HMT, BEL, BDL, NBCC, ITI, NTC, Pharmaceuticals/Health, HLL, Chemicals & fertilizers, FACT, IRE, NEEPCO, ALIMCO, BEML, ECIL, GAIL, HIL, HOC, instrumentation, etc.
The meeting was inaugurated by BMS president Shri C.K. Saji Narayanan. It was presided over by president of PSENC Shri Angusami. Convenor of Coordination Committee Dr. BK Rai, in-charge of Public Sector Shri Gokulanand Jena, organising secretary of BMS Shri B Surendran and Vice President of BMS Shri Jagdishwar Rao also spoke.
