NCC's massive awareness drive among the youth on #YogaDay2019; 10,000 Cadets perform Yoga in unison in Bengaluru to drive the message of Climate change

10,000 NCC cadets from across city colleges and schools participated in the #YogaDay2019 at Manekshaw Parade Ground in Bengaluru 
 
21st June 2019: Ten thousand NCC cadets from 16 NCC units across city colleges and schools participated in the 5th International Yoga day held centrally at Manekshaw Parade Ground in Bengaluru on 21st June 2019 to spread awareness and promote the benefits of Yoga conducted under the aegis of NCC group headquarters ‘B’ Bengaluru. NCC cadet’s along with Army, Airforce and Navy officials performed yoga in unison and marked Yoga’s significance in harmony. 30 NCC officers, 100 NCC Instructors from various wings of NCC i.e Army , Navy and Air force along with 25 Associate NCC officers of various colleges and school participated in the yoga drive to spread awareness about Yoga to the masses. Air Commodore LK Jain, Deputy Director General of Karnataka and Goa directorate was the chief guest for the occasion.
 
The benefits of Yoga transcend beyond physical health and provide a holistic physical, mental and social being. TrainedYoga professionals were called for conducting various Asanas as per the laid down international Yoga day protocol for benefit of all. Volunters from ‘Art of Living’ were also present to energize and integrate mind, body and spirit through Yoga. 
 
Yoga is extremely important for NCC cadets and any aspiring youngster who wants to join the forces, as it improves physical, mental and sensory equilibrium which is imperative to cope up with stress, pressure, tension and anxiety. The benefits of sound healthy body can be reaped in any field of life, especially in defense forces. 
 

 
NCC Cadets involve in Climate Awareness campaign 
 
NCC cadets and army officials also conducted various activities during this Yoga week to include tree plantation, road show, cultural events to celebrate this year’s Yoga day theme i.e Climate change cross the state. Healthy environment is essential for a healthy body and hence Yoga day is symbolic to promote a greener planet. 
 
Army officials and NCC cadets urged the general masses to adopt Yoga for true well –being, plant more and more trees to revive people, revive our planet in consonance with this year’s theme. 
 
Extremely overwhelming and inspiring to see young brave cadets embracing Yoga and investing into this ancient Indian heritage for the world to echo with them!
