Bharat Vikas Parishad to Adopt 1500 Villages

Faridabad: The two-day national convention of Bharat Vikas Parishad was joined by over 4000 delegates from various parts of the country. The convention, held at Huda Ground in Sector 12, mainly discussed two issues—adoption of villages and women empowerment. All 1500 branches of the Parishad will work on both these issue. The convention decided to adopt 1500 villages for all-round development. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Mukunda CR addressed the convention.
According to Dr Suresh Gupta, national president of Bharat Vikas Parishad, all the branches would focus on education, health and environment protection in the adopted villages. The rural students will also be helped in preparation of various competitions by imparting coaching. The Parishad has signed MoU with the AICTE for skill development in villages. The Parishad would also evaluate the needs of one lakh villages and programmes will be planned and implemented to overcome the problems there. The Parishad has also decided to install machines for manufacturing of sanitary pads in various villages. Addressing the gathering noted dancer and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sonal Mansingh said the government has given the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. Now we need to educate our sons how to respect the daughters. It is necessary to ensure safety of women. Only showing respect to women during Navratras is not enough.
