Under Maha Sampark Abhiyan, began on May 1, the party is utilising this opportunity to apprise the people of one year’s achievements of the BJP Government at the Centre and also the core ideological issues. “If we make space in the heart of the public based on our achievements in five years, the party will gain strength at the grass roots level; and as the public confidence grows, the people will continue their support to allow us to serve for next several decades,” party president Shri Amit Shah told the workers in New Delhi on July 12.

According to party general secretary Shri Ram Madhav the third phase of the contact drive would begin in September under which workshops and training camps will be organised for the workers and the new members. “There is target to impart training to 15 lakh workers. Under this campaign we are going to strengthen the organisation up to booth level,” he said.
Began on August 9, 2014 the party’s enrolment drive has proved to be a big boost in expanding the organisational base in southern states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and north-eastern states. “We are delighted that the membership has increased 3 to 20 times in southern states where we were judged weak,” he said adding that the party does not assume the newly inducted 11 crore well-wishers “as arms to get the power but we transform them into agile congeries to helpmate in building of the nation”.
With the expansion of the organisation the party has also decided to have offices in each district equipped with state of the art technology and libraries.         –Pramod Kumar
