News Round-up : Follow Gita to restore balance in the world —Mohan Bhagwat

“If balance has to be restored in the world it needs the teachings of Gita. Since the message of Gita was delivered in Bharat, it is the responsibility of all Indians to take this knowledge to the entire world,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at a function organised at Red Fort Grounds in Delhi on December 2 to celebrate 5151 anniversary of the great epic. Swami Gyanananda, Shri Subhash Goel of Zee News, senior Sangh Pracharak Shri Indresh Kumar, Shri Dinesh Chandra of the VHP and many saints were also present at the function organised by Jiyo Gita Parivar and various religious organisations of Delhi.
Shri Bhagwat said we have practically lived the Gita in our life since 5151 years. “Whenever the need to awaken the society was realised a interpretation of Gita was provided by the saints. Gita is a global epic and its message is for all. Everyone of us, including the society, have to face the situations in our lives which were faced by Arjuna during the Mahabharata battle. Sometimes they are favourable, while some time unfavourable. Gita teaches us not to run away from the situation, rather face it boldly,” he said.

A delegation of Hindu Jagran Manch, on December 1, called on Rajasthan Law Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore, Mining Minister Rajkumar Rinva and president of Institute of Heritage Protection Shri Omkar Singh Lakhawat in Jaipur requesting to take immediate steps to protect the world heritage site Chittorgarh Fort.
Shri Pratap Bhanu Singh, vice president of the Manch said the mining around the fort and the use of machines and dynamites have caused cracks in the fort and if this is not arrested the fort may collapse any time. The Chittorgarh Fort is around 1,000 year old and symbolises the valour of Hindu kings. It has also been the karmabhoomi of many great personalities of Mewar like Maharana Hammir, Maharana Sanga, Pannadhai, Meera, etc. It is to be noted that Rajasthan High Court while hearing a PIL had banned mining in 10 km vicinity of the fort. The court had also imposed fine of Rs five crore on the mining companies there. But the previous State Congress government went to Supreme Court against the High Court order. The Archeological Survey of India, Geological Survey of India and Indian Bureau of Mines have also said the mining is causing huge damage to the fort. The Hindu Manch urged the Rajasthan government to withdraw the SLP from the Supreme Court.
