“If balance has to be restored in the world it needs the teachings of Gita. Since the message of Gita was delivered in Bharat, it is the responsibility of all Indians to take this knowledge to the entire world,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at a function organised at Red Fort Grounds in Delhi on December 2 to celebrate 5151 anniversary of the great epic. Swami Gyanananda, Shri Subhash Goel of Zee News, senior Sangh Pracharak Shri Indresh Kumar, Shri Dinesh Chandra of the VHP and many saints were also present at the function organised by Jiyo Gita Parivar and various religious organisations of Delhi.
Shri Bhagwat said we have practically lived the Gita in our life since 5151 years. “Whenever the need to awaken the society was realised a interpretation of Gita was provided by the saints. Gita is a global epic and its message is for all. Everyone of us, including the society, have to face the situations in our lives which were faced by Arjuna during the Mahabharata battle. Sometimes they are favourable, while some time unfavourable. Gita teaches us not to run away from the situation, rather face it boldly,” he said.

Six years of strengthening unity?

Thirty community leaders from 17 communities attended a meeting convened by Hindu Samoodhaya Aamiga Peravai (Hindu Social, Spiritual Forum) of Panruti (Cuddalore District) on November 23. The Peravai was founded six years back with the objective of strengthening Hindu unity in Cuddalore District and preventing caste conflicts.
The participants said they now could enter a temple, where their forefathers were once denied entry. Not only that they can perform abhishekam for Lord Shiva. Their children receive good education, thanks to over 20 tuition centres. Speaking on the occasion RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramukh Shri Suhasrao Hiremath said all communities have given birth to great personalities and they worked for the entire humanity. He appealed to the community leaders to have food together, organise community meets, invite people of other communities also in the festivals and follow their traditions on family functions.                    (VSK Chennai)?

A handicraft factory at Basani phase I in Jodhpur cau-ght fire in the mor-ning of December 2. The fire assu-med gigantic form due to wood and chemicals stored in the factory. Hindu Jagran Manch demands protection of Chittorgarh Fort?

A delegation of Hindu Jagran Manch, on December 1, called on Rajasthan Law Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore, Mining Minister Rajkumar Rinva and president of Institute of Heritage Protection Shri Omkar Singh Lakhawat in Jaipur requesting to take immediate steps to protect the world heritage site Chittorgarh Fort.
Shri Pratap Bhanu Singh, vice president of the Manch said the mining around the fort and the use of machines and dynamites have caused cracks in the fort and if this is not arrested the fort may collapse any time. The Chittorgarh Fort is around 1,000 year old and symbolises the valour of Hindu kings. It has also been the karmabhoomi of many great personalities of Mewar like Maharana Hammir, Maharana Sanga, Pannadhai, Meera, etc. It is to be noted that Rajasthan High Court while hearing a PIL had banned mining in 10 km vicinity of the fort. The court had also imposed fine of Rs five crore on the mining companies there. But the previous State Congress government went to Supreme Court against the High Court order. The Archeological Survey of India, Geological Survey of India and Indian Bureau of Mines have also said the mining is causing huge damage to the fort. The Hindu Manch urged the Rajasthan government to withdraw the SLP from the Supreme Court.

Nav Srijan Shivir of RSS Uttarakhand in Haridwar

Join the RSS to know it properly?

The three day Nav Srijan Shivir of RSS Uttarakhand Prant concluded at Patanjali Yoga Peeth in Haridwar on November 30. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat and Yogaguru Baba Ramdev addressed the valedictory session. Shri Bhagwat felicitated a boy of 11th standard for his outstanding contribution in environment protection. He has planted more than 10,000 saplings. The camp began on November 28.
Addressing the gathering Shri Bhagwat said the RSS cannot be understood from outside. One needs to join it to know properly. “Devote an hour a day and come to a Sangh shakha. It is for the benefit of the nation,” Shri Bhagwat told the participants. He said though the opposition to Sangh ideology has reduced, some opposition is still there. He said basically those who do not try to know the RSS from close quarters have negative feelings about it. He called upon the women to join Rashtra Sevika Samiti. He however said people can join the nation building work by joining hands with Baba Ramdev or Gayatri Parivar also.
Baba Ramdev said the RSS is known world over as a disciplined and nationalist organisation. He said everybody should spare some time for the Sangh work. He called upon the people to move forward following the glorious history of their ancestors. Ace shooter and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on November 29 called upon the youth to fix a target in their life and infuse all might to achieve that goal.
