Dina Nath Batra’s Open letter to ToI Head Curb pornography on the website, promote values

In an open letter to the head of Times of India Smt Indu Jain, national convener of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas Shri Dina Nath Batra appealed her to curb the pornography being served through the website and the newspaper and promote the rich value which leads to dignity and decency in the society. “I do notice in 'ToI' and the like, more of pornography kind items than information with worthy news/items/features that help build this great sacred Bharat. Instead of inspiring our young girls to follow the path of dignity and decency ‘ToI’ inspires the otherwise—to shed the cover modesty and values and be lustful. The first PAGE of the website greets the readers with the pictures of nude models/film-stars etc in most amorous gestures and poses,” the letter said.
Referring to world’s top newspapers like Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian (UK), The Telegraph (UK) Shri Batra said they are far decent and dignified than the Times of India/Hindustan Times which are seemingly prostituting themselves to make quick buck, and thereby destroy the characters of our youths and gullible masses. “How long will these leading newspapers, ToI and Hindustan Times, stoop so low to corrupt the mind of the crores of Indian masses and destroy their character showing a road to hell? The evils of extra-marital sex, premarital sex, and promiscuity are so gloried in your media that our youths are totally misled and their character totally destroyed. That will be the consequence of this depraved karma, Madam Induji?”, the letter said.
