Muslim Rashtriya Manch function in Raipur

$img_title“No
religion ever taught or professed terrorism”, declared world renowned Islamic scholar and cleric Hazrat Sayyad Mohammad Hashmi Miyan Ashrafi Jilani at the congregation of over 1,000 Muslims from Raipur andsurrounding areas. The programme was organised by Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Raipur to deliberate on the present status of the Muslims in India andtheir future in the light of ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

MRM patron and senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Shri Indresh Kumar, MRM National Convener Mohd. Afzal, Co-convenerand Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board Chairman Mohd. Salim Ashrafi and others were prominently present on this occasion.

In his electrifying address Hazrat Mohd. Hashmi Miyan, who toured almost all the countries of the world as the most respected teacher of Islam, said that the Creator first created the land of Bharat, bestowing on her all the geographical and climatic diversities and then created the ‘first human being Aadam after whom we are all known as ‘Aadmi’. He said that Bharat is that land whereAadam put his first footstep, thus Muslimshave a long association with this country and they cannot be separated from ‘Hindustan’.

The learnedIslamic scholaremphatically stated that invaders like Ghori and Babur can never be ‘our heroes and history’. “This land of Hindustan is out vatan. It has givenus that Islam which binds us with the culture of this land”, he said and added that thepresent ills confronting the societycould be rectified only by men of sterling character. We must concentrate on this character building process. Denouncing those who equate jihad with terrorism in the strongest terms Hashmi Miya saidthat jihad was not and can never is lowered to such an abysmal low level. Jihad is the name of an exercise of removing bad elements from an individual’s life and society. We must strive to purify us through jihad. Holding Wahabi ideology responsible for terrorism Hashmi Miyan said that though not all Wahabis are terrorists, every terrorist arrested is essentially is a Wahabi.

Explaining the views of RSS about Muslims Shri Indresh Kumar said the RSS never considered Muslims as vote-banks. On the other hand the RSS always held the Muslims as equal partners in the development of nation; as patriotic, responsible and honest as Hindus, he said.
