(Organiser, 29.12.2013); This is with reference to the editorial in Organiser ‘Beyond Diplomacy’. It has been rightly said in the editorial that Devayani episode should bring the question of dignity and security of the  Indians  abroad to the forefront. Whether Devyani Khorbragade  flouted US laws is subject to different interpretations. However the way she was treated, like a petty criminal was shocking. The various article of the Vienna Convention clearly mentions that consular officers can be arrested or put behind bars, only if they commit a grave crime. The present  incident does not fall in this  category. The Government of India has done well to send a strong message to the US. Some of measures may look raw  and immature but they are needed to tell the US that enough is enough and assert India’s stand.

Crest Jewel of Kashmir, the Crown of Bharat (Organiser, 20.10.2013) This refers to “Crest Jewel of Kashmir, the Crown of Bharat” by Justice (Retd) M Rama Jois, in Organiser 20.10.2013, in which glory of Shrine of Sharda  in Kashmir has been mentioned in details. But the sorry part of it is, that it is situated in Pok (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) and completely ruined. It has been mentioned in the write-up by Justice Rama Jois, that “Shri SM Krishna,  former Minister of External Affairs in his speech, while  inaugurating Kashmir Bhawan in Bengaluru on October 6, has rightly stated that India should take back that area.” What is the use of such a statement? It is nothing more than befooling the people. Jawaharlal Nehru, undisputed leader of  the Congress, to which SM Krishna also belongs, gave that area to Pakistan. Indian army had overcome initial difficulties, and was advancing very fast to free whole of J& K, when Nehru ordered ceasefire. Why? Only to help  Pakistan to retain that area. It was a treachery by Nehru to help the enemy.  Here I would like to suggest, that BJP should expose Nehru and Congress for such anti-national acts, and tell to the voters that Kashmir problem has been created by Nehru and Congress. There are many  other such anti-national acts by  the Congress leaders during the war with Pakistan in 1971 and 1965. There is no doubt, that Congress leaders have been acting as agents of Pakistan all these years.

Party should replace its Italian head  The rout of the Congress Party in the recent State Legislature elections in four states in the north clearly calls for the exit of the Italian head of the Party. It is also clear from the last two decades or so, that this Party can function only under a foreign head. But it is preferable that the White person is British because only the British person knowns how  to  keep the Party together. The Party must search for and find a suitable person. I wish the Party all success in finding a British citizen to replace madam Sonia who is from Italy.

No check on rapes The Government has been spending crores of rupess every month on VIP and VVIP security. Why can’t the same money be spent for the safety of women in our country? Every day at least 25 women, including young girls are raped in India. Many do not complain to the police for fear of being ridiculed. Also, there is no full-stop to the case. It is going on for years and years. In the end, the person who has committed the rape is set scot-free and the poor girl or woman who has been raped or molested suffers. The reason why some rapist escape with a lighter punishment or no punishment at all is because they have political clout. Saudi laws should be introduced in India  and the rapist  should be stoned to death.

UPA II again trying to trap  Modi The UPA II is reportedly in the process of appointing a commission to enquire into the Snoopgate incident allegedly involving the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Off course, it goes without saying that the yet-to-be born commission would be given a time bound frame-work, viz., to deliver its verdict before the country goes to polls in April/May 2014. The UPA I too had done similar exercise in the past when  Lalu Prasad Yadav,  the then Railway Minister, had appointed a commission to go into the Godhra bogey burning incident, when another commission was already on the job. And, as expected, the second commission gave its findings which proved that the fire was the result of some internal accident. Above all, the date on which the verdict was announced happened to be just the day before the polling for Bihar Assembly elections was to take place.

Need for Congress to introspect its functioning  There are media reports of conflict between Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj and the  Congress Government. The Congress came to power in the month of May, hardly 7 months over it has lost the confidence of the Governor who was very critical about BS Yeddyurappa’s Government, has appreciated the former’s over the present Government. Congress which has lost 4 states in northern India, needs to introspect their style of functioning in Karnataka before it becomes too late.

Congratulations Congratulations to Atalji on  his birthday. India today desperately needs a Prime Minister like him. Though he has retired like a true Hindu   India still desperately needs him. Atalji should leave sanyas and come out in the active politics to guide and inspire us. We need a statesman like him. I hope he will accept our request. We wish for a very  long and a happy  life to him.

A happy moment We are very happy at the landslide victory of the BJP in the recent Assembly elections  We are much delighted that the killers of the Sikhs (Congress) have been totally wiped out We expect a BJP Government at the Centre  after the parliamentary elections in 2014  The Sikhs in India are safe only under BJP Government at the Centre
