undefinedRSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya termed the patronage to communal elements as root cause of Muzaffarngar riots. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi on September 9 he said, “It is just one incidence, a very serious one; these riots are the result of the patronage to communal forces in UP in the name of secularism. All the riots that took place recently show that their inception was very ordinary incidences. In such cases the administration should act unbiasedly and must not foster communal forces.”

Dr Vaidya was talking to  mediapersons outside Madhyanchal, where the RSS Samanvaya meeting was going on. The meeting was attended by Sarsan-ghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, senior BJP leaders like Shri LK Advani, Dr Murali Manohar Joshi, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Shri Arun Jaitley, Shri Rajnath Singh, etc.

Answering the queries of mediapersons Dr Vaidya said the meeting was not on the agenda of deciding PM candidate for BJP, rather this issue was not discussed there. The strategy for the next elections is being formulated by the BJP; they asked for suggestions from the prominent workers of the other sister organisations, hence all of us have given our suggestions, he said.

Dr Vaidya said a number of vital issues were discussed at the two-day meeting. After the welcome of all the participants by Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Dr Murali Manohar Joshi spoke on the economic condition of the country and highlighted the BJP’s economic policy. Shri Nitin Gadkari spoke on Ramjanmabhoomi movement, Article 370, cow, Ganga, Common Civil Code, etc. Shri Venkaiah Naidu talked about the farming sector. Later, Smt Sushma Swaraj presented the party’s views on women, youth, SC/ST, etc.

Earlier, on September 8, Shri Arun Jaitley presented his views on internal and external security of the country and also relations with the neighbouring countries. BJP president Shri Rajnath Singh spoke about the party’s strategy and preparations for the forthcoming general elections. At the concluding session, Shri LK Advani expressed his views on different issues.
