Hindu Sangam in Raipur

 Mohan Bhagwat

?
$img_title“HINDUS defend themselves firmly, but they do not attack anybody. A Hindu can never be a terrorist. Those who are spreading such rumours do not understand the Hindu culture at all,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was addressing a gathering of about one lakh Vanvasis and other people at Bodala under Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on February 10. The Hindu Sangam was organised to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. People from border areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh participated in the function.

Prant Sanghachalak Shri Bisara Ram Yadav, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Assembly Speaker Shri Dharmapal Kaushik, State BJP president Shri Ramsevak Paikara, Higher Education Minister Shri Hemchandra Yadav, Urban Body Minister Shri Rajesh Munat, Public Works Minister Shri Brijmohan Agrawal and many other senior Sangh and BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.

Coming down heavily on the Christian missionaries, Shri Bhagwat said there is no need of any foreign missionary to come here to serve us. But at the same the RSS chief stressed the need to bring back all those who have been converted into alien faiths. “It is the collective responsibility of the entire Hindu society to look after its fellow brethren,” he said. Referring to Swami Vivekananda he said self-confidence of the Hindu society should not be lost in any circumstance.

Shri Bhagwat stressed the need for unity saying that even God took the Vanvasis with him to fight against evil forces. He said Swami Vivekananda showed the way to make the world happy and prosperous. He said though there are many problems in the country but the discrimination on the basis of caste and religion harms the most.

Presiding over the Hindu Sangam, Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati said the Hindus spread the message of live and let live and they do not believe in violence. He said if the Hindu society remains divided the division of the country is imminent. He suggested to organise similar Hindu Sangams in all the states of the country.
