Fifth centenary celebration of Guru Nanak’s visit to Bidar?

$img_titleDuring his visit to South India, Guru Nanakdevji had visited Bidar where he generated a fountain from his feet there. To commemorate 500 years of that visit the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat organised a four day function at Gurudwara Shri Nanak Jheera from April 26 to 29. Devotees from across the country including some from different parts of the world participated in the function.

Karnataka Chief Minister Shri DV Sadananda Gowda also attended the function. Sikh Sangat president Sardar Gurcharan Singh Gill, Andhra Pradesh president Sardar Devender Singh, State president of Uttarakhand Sardar Sukhdev Singh Namdhari, Karnataka president Sardar Jagjit Singh Sethi, Karseva Wale Baba Subeg Singh and hundreds of other senior leaders served the devotees at Langar Bhai Laloji.

Chief Minister Shri Gowda inaugurated an exhibition on glorious Sikh history. Minister in Karnataka government Shri Rebunayak Velangi, vice president of VHP Shri Balkrishna Naik, national patron of Sikh Sangat Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma, Pujya Sant Shri Atul Krishna Maharaj, Sikh Sangat founder Sardar Chiranjiv Singh, national general secretary Shri Avinash Jaiswal and many other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
