Makar Sankranti with fishermen families at seashore??

A group of around 650 swayamsevak in Chennai on January 15 celebrated Makar Sankranti with the families of fishermen at the seashore of Foreshore Estate. The swayamsevaks performed Suryanamaskars exactly at the stroke of sunrise. After which puja and arati were performed to the Sea Goddess with a prayer for the welfare of the world. Soon after the function, Shri HS Govinda, Kshetra Pracharak Pramukh, addressed the gathering highlighting what exactly is revolution according to Hindu thought. It was followed by puja and arati to the Amman Deity with Sweet Pongal as prasad, prepared by the swayamsevaks partook the prasad along with the fishermen.
