NOBW opposes Khandelwal Committee recommendations?

The National Organisation of Bank Workers (NOBW) while strongly opposing the anti-employees recommendations of the Khandelwal Committee on HR issues in Public Sector Banks, staged demonstrations all over the country on December 8. According to NOBW general secretary Shri Ashwani Rana the UPA Government has already advised all the Public Sector Banks to implement these recommendations. Apart from allowing outsourcing, the Committee has suggested to fill 50 per cent vacancies through direct recruitment which will drastically reduce the promotional opportunities for clerical staff. It also increased the minimum qualification for recruitment in the Banks i.e. graduation for clerks and 10th standard for sub-staff. This will deny employment opportunities to thousands of young persons who are presently eligible for these jobs.    ?
