An informed writing on Hindu, Hinduism and Hindu Rashtra?
An authentic booklet by K Suryanarayan Rao?
Hindu Rashtra, K Suryanarayan Rao, Vijaya Bharatham Pathippagam, Pp 36, Rs 10.00?
Though many eminent luminaries have explained in explicit terms the actual facts with regard to Hindu, Hinduism and Hindu Rashtra, there are still many misconceptions about these terms. For so-called secularists and a section of the Indian media anything which is Hindu is always communal. The very word Hindu is anathema for such persons. With their ignorance and added arrogance, day in and day out they condemn the Hindu nationalist organisations and patriotic organisations like the RSS as communal.
But fact is that some many great personalities including Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, Dr Annie Besant, Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Sri Guruji and even the Supreme Court have all in one voice clearly declared that the Hindu is all inclusive and extremely tolerant, neither narrow nor communal and that our country is an ancient nation with one people and one culture. All have spoken in their own style through their own words but emphasised the same ideas unequivocally. The amazing factor is that these distinguished personalities, through their reasoned explanations have all confirmed and endorsed what RSS has been talking about the Hindu and at times have used expressions identical with those of Shri Guruji Golwalkar, the second RSS Sarsanghachalak.
Veteran RSS Pracharak Shri K Suryanarayan Rao has prepared a small booklet highlighting different aspects of Hindu, Hinduism and Hindu Rashtra. The 36-page booklet is in English and has been published by Vijaya Bharatham Pathippagam, Chennai.
The booklet explains perfectly in brief what is Hindu Rashtra, is it communal, is it fundamentalist, is it anti-secular, is it a theocratic state, is Hindu a religion in the same sense as Christianity and Islam are, is it correct to equate dharma with religion, what is Hindu and who is a Hindu, etc.?
The booklet also talks about the status of the local people who are converted either to Christianity or to Islam, does the change of religion of a person change his forefathers, his nationality, his national identity and character?
The statements of a few venerated celebrities recorded in the booklet, help to open the eyes of the seculars and make them see the truth and get rid of their unwarranted and unjust prejudices about the Hindu and their Hindu identity in their own Hindu country. As regards to the lovers and devotees of the Hindu cause, this small collection of facts in one setting may enliven and enthuse them, though much may not be new to them, to dedicate more time and energy to achieve their goal of Hindu glory.
