OUTRAGED at the Congress sponsored political conspiracy to defame the Sangh and linking some of its leaders to terror activities, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to hit the streets all over the country on November 10. As part of the protest, the Sangh will organise dharnas at district level all over the country. The decision to this effect was taken at the Karyakari Mandal Meeting of RSS concluded in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, on October 31.

According to RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Sureshrao Joshi who addressed the mediapersons soon after the Karyakari Mandal Meeting was over in Jalgaon, the dharnas and protest meetings would be organised in peaceful manner at all district centres across the country. The time, venue and nature of protest activity will be decided by the Prant units.

“The protest meetings will be organised under the banner of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Apart from the Sangh leaders and swayamsevaks, women, Sangh sympathisers and distinguished persons of the society will also participate in the meetings. The people will register their protest against the destructive politics being played by the Congress-led Central government against Hindutva and also the attempts to frame some RSS leaders in terror activities as part of this politics,” said RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya while talking to Organiser.

A memorandum will also be presented to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.

Dr Vaidya further said that senior Sangh leaders would address the dharnas and protest meetings. “No Sangh leader is going to address any special meeting, rather they will address the meetings wherever they will be on that day as per their pre-scheduled pravas,” he said. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat is expected to address the meeting in Lucknow while Sarkaryavah Shri Suresh Joshi will be in Hyderabad.

Talking to mediapersons in Jalgaon, RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi described the dragging of senior RSS leader and National Executive Member Shri Indresh Kumar’s name in Ajmer blast case by Rajasthan ATS as a “political conspiracy”. He, however, refrained from speaking on the issue at length since the matter is sub judice and the chargesheet has neither made out any specific case against Shri Indresh Kumar nor named him an accused. He said the names of “some responsible people” are being connected with “saffron terrorist” incidents at national level for political gains and this is deeply hurting the sentiments of the Hindu society. The RSS has strongly opposed the move and protested against it. Soon after the Ajmer blast chargesheet was filed at a court in Rajasthan, Shri Joshi had in clear words warned that any attempt to defame the RSS would not be tolerated at all.

Shri Joshi further said there appears a deep-rooted conspiracy to indirectly frame the Sangh in destructive activities. “The Sangh workers are being humiliated by the ATS. In order to expose this conspiracy there will be countrywide protest on November 10.” Citing the victory unitedly achieved by Hindus in the cases of Sri Ram Sethu, Amarnath Shrine Board land and Tirupati Temple land Shri Joshi said the issue of terror would also be taken in the people’s court.

Shri Joshi said after the allegation of some Sangh workers involvement in the blast case the Sangh had initially decided to “fully cooperate” with the investigating agencies. But the way the name of RSS has been dragged with scant respect for the facts and the way Shri Indresh Kumar’s name has been invoked without any substantiating evidence makes clear that the investigation is influenced by and is no longer an honest one. “We are now convinced that contrary to our expectations and hopes the investigations into the bomb blast cases at Ajmer and Hyderabad are turning political and vindictive and there are clear signs of a sinister design to defame the RSS. We are Constitution abiding organisation with full faith in the process of law, we cannot be cowed down by unscrupulous and sinister political conspiracies,” Shri Joshi warned in a statement issued on October 26.

The Congress conspiracy to frame the Sangh leaders in terrorist activities received sharp criticism and strong protest from the nationalist forces across the country. Protest begun soon after the name of Shri Indresh Kumar figured in the chargesheet of Ajmer blast case. There are dharnas, protest meetings and demonstrations against it all over the country every day. Many Muslim leaders under the banner of Muslim Rashtriya Manch conducted dharnas at many places in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow, Kanpur, Unnao, Ghaziabad, Agra, Bulandshahar, Hapur), Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and West Bengal. Himalaya Parivar, Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch and Muslim Rashtriya Manch jointly organised a massive demonstration at Shahdara, East Delhi, on October 31 and burnt the effigy of Congress government. RSS Sahprant Sanghachalak Dr SS Agrawal and Mohammad Afzal of Muslim Rashtriya Manch led the demonstrators.

Delhi Study Group also organised a programme in New Delhi on November 2 against the Congress government sponsored conspiracy to defame the RSS and its leaders engaged in social engineering among various sections and regions in India. Many eminent speakers including former Union Ministers Shri Arif Begh, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, senior journalist and columnist Shri Vedpratap Vedik, BJP leaders Shri Balbir Punj, Shri Vijendra Gupta, Shri Vikram Verma and Shri Jagat Prakash Naddha addressed the gathering of distinguished people of national capital.
