THIS is a compilation of the thoughts of the author who is a motivator and successful businessman of our time. All of us have dreams and reading of this self-help book can motivate and inspire us to achieve our dreams as the author has done for himself. According to him, dreams could be of anything from wanting to be a better parent to being a more successful business person or even a better student. The book helps to realise one’s own potential, to explore one’s inner strength and instil the ambition to be the best.
There is a whole new world waiting to be explored provided we are aware of our potential and inner strengths and also possess the desire to be the best. The author says that we all keep waiting for Dame Fortune to smile on us without realising that she smiles only on the brave, since they are not the ones to wait for her.
Talking of pride, the author says that life is not a bed of roses but one has to go through many ups and downs because both success and failure are part and parcel of life. The key lies in “keeping our head down when you succeed and keeping our spirits high when we fall.”
For realising your dreams, his advice is not to let our dreams die because “they will trigger a passion in you that will help you reach the heights you always dreamt of.”
With reference to complacency, the author regrets that our main problem is our complacent attitude that things will happen on their own. On the contrary, we have to work hard to surge ahead. Hence, he says, “Awake! Break the shackles of complacency. Let’s fight! Fight for ourselves, fight for our country. The enemy resides in you, let’s fight him.”
The author asks the Creator to give him strength to get rid of fear and show the light “to dispel darkness away” and give the strength to discover Him “inside me!”
Under the title of the book, the author says that “Hinduism is followed by the Hindus, Buddhism by the Buddhists, Islamism by the Muslims, socialism by socialists, capitalism by capitalists but it is the ‘ism’ that has been left so far behind that it is impossible to be treated on Indian soil.
The book can be read in one go, but if you want to absorb the meaning of the lines and read between the lines, then it calls for some pondering!
