FORMER Prant Karyavah and Prant Sanghachalak of RSS, TV Anandan passed away at Kochi on 15-09-2010. He was 79. For more than a decade, he was under treatment for diabetes. He is survived by his wife Vijayalakshmi, daughter Vidya and son-in-law Dr Govindaraj.
Attracted into RSS by late veteran Pracharak Bhaskar Rao Kalambi, he was Prant Karyavah from 1966-1988. Later he became Prant Sangachalak. A leading advocate and founder of Kerala Bar Council, he was, for long, the public face of RSS. He was a MISA detinue for 18 months during the Emergency.
His body was kept for public homage at Town Hall, Kochi on September 16. Leading politicians, social, cultural activists and professionals paid homage to the departed soul. The RSS has lost a veteran, who built the organisation brick-by-brick in the face of worst obstructions.
