National Executive meeting of Shaikshik Mahasangh demands Fill the vacancies of teachers to ensure quality of education

THE National Executive Meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh that met in Bhubaneswar from February 20 to 21 urged the government to fill the vacancies of teachers to ensure quality of education. The meeting expressed deep concern over the growing tendency of recruiting teachers on contract basis and termed it as compromise over the quality of education. A total of 89 delegates from different parts of the country participated in the meeting.

The meeting was inaugurated by national president of the Mahasangh Prof K Narhari. Prof Prafulla Mishra of Nationalist Teachers Council welcomed the delegates. General secretary Dr Vimal Prasad presented the details of the organisational activities. He stressed the need to expand the reach of the Mahasangh from present 7.5 lakh to 15 lakh in coming years. Organising secretary Shri Mahendra Kapoor stressed the need to accelerate the work of workers training. Detail discussion was also held on the celebration of silver jubilee of the Mahasangh to be held in the year 2012-13. Prof K Narhari drew the attention of the delegates to the training of workers and said without proper training the network of the organisation cannot be expanded satisfactorily.
