The game plan of the jehadi NDF and ‘Campus Front’ to lure Hindu and Christian college girls into love, conversion to Islam, marriage and eventually to be taken to LeT camps for jehad against India has sent shock waves down the state. Kerala is yet to recover from ‘Export of Terror’ to Kashmir, where Keralites were shot dead by army while crossing over to India after militant training in LeT camps in PoK.
The issue came to light when parents of two girls (one Hindu, one Christian), doing MBA at St. Joseph’s College, Pathanamthitta filed complaints against their senior students Shahan Sha and (his friend) Sirajudheen. One girl was the daughter of a police officer and that was how the issue came to light. The girls, parents alleged that they were lured into love by show of flashy cars, expensive gifts, food in top end restaurants, etc. etc.
The girls were forced to jump from their homes. They were to be taken to Ponnani in Malappuram for conversion to Islam. In the vehicle, en route, they were shown NDF CDs ridiculing Hinduism and Christianity.
In the meanwhile, the parents field habeas corpus petitions in the court and police arrested the jehadis and produced them in court. The girls went back with their parents and that is how the issue came to light.
The Kerala High Court Justice KT Sankaran on September 30 ordered a thorough probe by the state and centre into the ‘Love Jehad’. The Justice ordered that all aspects including terrorist activities, counterfeiting, smuggling, drug trafficking etc. in relation to ‘Love Jahad’ should be probed.
Meanwhile, the Christian community has taken it very seriously. It has taken up this issue at Sunday Congregations and is giving advice to college girls not to fall into ‘love trap’. The Hindu Aikya Vedi, VHP, etc. have also started mobilising people against this grave threat. Poster campaign has already started in front of all colleges in Kerala. Media have also given maximum coverage to this grave threat.
But the Congress and CPM are keeping their months sealed with fevicol, for fear of losing Muslim votes.
