concluded in New Delhi on June 21. A total of 73 members from different parts of the country participated in the meeting. Presenting the annual report for the year 2008-09 general secretary Shri Virendra Sabharwal said the Parishad had a total of 965 active branches all over the country by March 31, 2009. He said the number of the members also increased from 37079 to 40310 during this period. He said by June this year there were 40 Vikas Ratna and 1966 Vikas Mitra all over the country.

Presiding over the meeting, national president Shri RP Sharma said the workers of the Parishad should have complete knowledge of the projects and working style of the Parishad, only then they would be able to guide the workers during their tours in different parts of the country. He said the Parishad has to serve the maximum number of needy people and the society should be mobilised for achieving this objective. Organising secretary Shri SK Wadhva, treasure Shri Harish Jindal, secretary Shri Satish Chandra, joint general secretary Shri Sitaram Parik, secretary Shri RB Shrivastava, joint organising secretary Shri Keshav Dutt Gupta and some other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
