RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat assured the saints and the people engaged in the activities of national reconstruction that the Sangh would follow their agenda for the betterment of the nation. ?Only the saints can show the right path to the nation today and the nation has full trust in saints,? he said while inaugurating the silver jubilee celebration of Pathey Kan in Jaipur on April 7. It was the first visit of Shri Bhagwat in Jaipur after becoming the Sarsanghachalak of RSS. Noted saint of Bikaner Swami Samvit Somgiri Maharaj presided over the function. Pathey Kan is a widely-circulated magazine of Rajasthan with more than 1.5 lakh circulation and is read even in remote areas of Rajasthan.

Shri Bhagwat expressed concern over the education being imparted to the new generation in schools. ?The children are not aware of the glorious past and great personalities of the country as they are not taught about them in schools. We need to pay a greater attention to what is being taught to children in schools. Imparting the knowledge of glorious past is not communal at all,? he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Samvit Somgiri Maharaj said the countrymen forget the real concept of dharma to prove themselves secular, which is proving disastrous today. He warned that the country would forget its goals if it continues to ignore the traditional cultural values. He said apart from cultural nationalism the people should also think about political nationalism. He further said the people with good samskars need to join the politics.

Stressing the need to protect the Ram Sethu and the Ganga river Shri Ramdayal Maharaj said nobody would survive without the existence of the country. He said the country should be supreme in all our acts.

Earlier, Shri Bhagwat felicitated two journalists of Jaipur?Shri Shravan Pareek of Rajasthan Patrika and Shri Yogesh Sharma of a TV channel. Both the journalists were presented a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a citation and a memento each. Three villages?Manpur (Jhalawar), Bhemai (Dungarpur) and Sanphara (Jalaur)?were also honoured for integrated rural development. Representatives of these villages received a citation each.

Addressing a gathering of uniformed swayamsevaks at Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Shri Bhagwat stressed the need to bring about a change into oneself to achieve the pristine glory of the country. He said no change could be brought about in the world without bringing a change in personal conduct. He emphasised the need for starting more shakhas in rural areas and also the activities of integrated rural development.

Talking about the elections, Shri Bhagwat said many candidates would approach the voters with the claims of serving them. But after winning the elections they forget the people and then people search them. He said only a united society can bring a desirable change.
