Political parties must serve consumers? interest: Grahak Panchayat

Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat appealed to all the political parties to promise in their respective manifestos to protect the interests of the consumers. The organisation also urged the voters to vote only for the candidate or the political parties, which assure to protect the consumers? interests. The decision to this effect was taken at the National Executive Committee meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat held in New Delhi on March 1. National president of Grahak Panchayat Shri Rajabhau Pophali presided over the meeting. Veteran Sangh Pracharak Shrikant Joshi, vice president the Panchayat Dr Charanjit Singh Kalara, general secretary Shri Somnath Khedkar and secretary Shri Prabhunath Jaiswal were among the 32 delegates who came from 17 Prants to attend the meeting. Discussion was held over enrolment drive being conducted by the Panchayat all over the country. The drive has now been extended up to March 32. Speaking at the meeting Shri Shrikant Joshi said the objective of the enrolment drive should not be just increasing the number of members rather we should involve the members in our activities only then the work of the Panchayat would become effective.
