Noted industrialist of Delhi Vishwamitra Bahl passed away on October 1. He was 81. He is survived by his wife Smt. Satyarani, son Shri Sunil Bahl and daughter Madhu Dhavan. RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat, former Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramuk of RSS Shri Prem Chand Goel, Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma, Delhi Prant Pracharak Shri Prem Kumar, Delhi BJP president Dr Harsh Vardhan, former Governor of Goa and Sikkim Shri Kidarnath Sahni paid tribute to the departed soul. Born on January 14, 1927 Vishwamitra Bahl joined the RSS as a Pracharak. He was arrested in 1948 during the ban on RSS. While in jail at Gurdaspur in Punjab he led a month long hunger strike with other Sangh functionaries and devoted time for the uplift of the jail inmates. On release from the jail, he devoted himself to the Sangh activities wholeheartedly. During the Emergency in 1975 he joined the satyagraha and was arrested for the second time. In 1994, he founded Laghu Udyog Bharati as an all India organisation in the service of small-scale industries. He became the founder president of the LUB.
