(Don'tget angry with mother Kaikeyi and take good care of her. This is a conjuration by Sita and me.)
Thus Ram was a veritable repository of noble virtues and high human values. All these great qualities of Ram have made him the monarch of millions of love saturated hearts through the rolling centuries. Singing his glories has been a pleasantly indispensable activity of the daily life of crores of good souls in this country and many other parts of the globe. His name has been a rejuvenating force for the sad, depressed, wretched and miserable. For innumerable human beings round the globe Ram has been the dearest of the dear and nearest of the near. The Indian culture and civilization have been proud of being associated with the great personality called ?Ram?.
But unimaginably the same Ram, the emperor of millions of hearts was insulted not in any other place but in the soil of India. A chief minister of this country, blinded by the arrogance of his chair, pronounced such words for Lord Ram which the demons of Tretaya epoch did not utter. The ruler who, while occupying the chair, had sworn to protect the culture and civilization of the country inflicted an irreparable damage on the same by his uncivilized and uncultured remark about the greatest civilized and cultured hero of the country. The man who had taken oath to keep the people happy actually made the people cry of emotional pain and anguish. The ruler transgressed his duty and decency. He exposed his own character by giving a character certificate to the Lord of virtues.
Ram'sinsult is not the insult of any particular community. Ram is the progenitor of all Indians. There was no division of creed or community when Ram was? Furthermore, Ram stands as an ideal for every lover of human values. Ram can not be contracted to a narrow orb. Ram stands for high Indian values.
Insult of Ram is an insult to India. A person who insults his own motherland does not qualify to rule it. Karunanidhi, the offender of Ram, has forfeited his right to sit on the chair of chief minister. Those who enjoy the warmth of their seats with his help are equally accountable to the people who had reposed faith on them. Offenders of Indian hero have to pay for their sin. Those who dishonour Ram, the ruler of our hearts must not rule our land.
Stringent legal provisions should be introduced for such cultural crimes. Offending Indian culture which prominently includes Indian heroes like Ram, Krishna, Yudhisthira etc. must be punishable by law. A person who has no regard for the glory of the land and the glorious personalities of the soil must never qualify legally for any constitutional or public office of the country.
