Vijayadashami, the foundation day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, is always an important day for every swayamsewak of this disciplined and devoted organisation. The pathsanchalan by its swayam-sevaks is the landmark feature of the occasion.

In Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan, the main thrust of the speakers at different shakhas on this day was to intensify the ongoing fight to save the Ram Sethu at any cost. They said that only united and organised Hindu forces could check this onslaught on Hindu Dharma. The most important feature of the pathsanchalans in the pink city was the welcome of the marching swayamsevaks by Muslim organisations in the Muslim-dominated locality of Ramganj.

The RSS and its disciplined swayamsevaks are simply unbeatable when it comes to draw the meticulous details, its time management in organising any of the function. So the pathsanchalans this time were not different from those in the past. In all, 3100 full ganavesh-dhari swayam-sevaks participated in them, whereas another about 4000 swayamsevaks participated in semi-ganavesh. The path-sanchlans simultaneously started from 19 places and converged at seven places, as per the time schedule fixed by the organisers. The pathsanchalans started from the different points after performing the shashtrapoojan at the shakhas. The pathsanchalans were led by 451 gosh (band) carrying swayamsevaks.

Enthusiasm to participate in the pathsanchalans could be gauged, as eldest among them was an eighty-five-year-old and youngest was only five. The city people had erected 75 welcome gates to receive the pathsanchalans. When one of the pathsanchalans reached Ramganj, it was welcomed by Rashtravadi Muslim Manch. Similar welcome was accorded by the Muslims in areas like Foota Khurra, New Gate, Ramniwas Bagh, Chandpol, Hassanpura and Sodala. At all these places Muslims showered flowers on the swayam-sevaks.

The path-sanchalans, which covered a total of 91.25 km started from Badodia Basti, Vikram Circle, Shastri Nagar, Dussehra Ground, Vidyadhar Nagar, Kukarkhedi Anaj Mandi, Murlipura Circle, Khandaka House, Choumu Pulia, Adarsh Vidyamandir, Jhotwada, Chuagan Stadium, Hida Kee Moree, Thadi Market Mansarovar, Shiv Mandir, New Sanganer Road, Ajit Maidan, Khatipura Road, Murgikhana, Panchaya Kabadi Maidan, Adarsh Vidyamandir, Malviyanagar and AG Colony Bajaj Nagar.

These pathsanchalans, after passing through the main roads of the respective areas, converged at Vikram Circle in Shashtri Nagar, ARG Circle in Vidyadharnagar, Murlipura Scheme Circle, Teen Dukan at Dher Ke Balaji, Choumu Pulia at Jhotwara, Durgdas Circle, Jhotwara, Chaura Rasta, Rajat Path Circle and New Sanganer Road Circle.
