Zafarnama Tricentenary Celebration Committee (ZTCC) organised an impressive function at Muktsar in Punjab, the historical city where 300 years back the army of Aurangzeb attacked the devoted followers of Guru Govind Singh by deceit. Muktsar then known as Khindrane ki Dhab saw a fierce battle between the forces of Aurangzeb and Guru Govind Singh. About 40 followers of Guru Gobind Singh who had left the path of their guru in Anandpur Sahib attacked the veterans of Aurangzeb like anything. They got shahadat but before Maha Singh left for heavenly abode Guru Govind Singh tore the bedawa and from that time Khindrane ki Dhab became Muktsar. Guru Govind Singh wrote a letter of victory in Persian language to Aurangzeb declaring the ultimate victory of dharma and defeat of adharma.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr Kuldeep Agnihotri, convener and Shri Harjeet Singh Grewal, general secretary, said this victory spirit of Zafarnama would ultimately lead India towards glorious path of vishwaguru. China, America and Pakistan are trying to encircle India. Spirit of Zafarnama can defeat their evil designs but the big question is who cares for this spirit of Zafarnama in Delhi?

Shri Kuldeep Singh Bhangewal, Shri Gurupal Singh Pal, Shri Guraj Singh Patanwar and Shri Jagjiwan Jot Singh Anand, the Hindi translator of Zafarnama, also spoke on the occasion. Dr Agnihotri said that such functions regarding the relevance of Zafarnama in present scenario would be organised in all big cities of the country.  (FOC)
