The state award for the best photographer of 2006 has been bagged by RSS Malayalam daily Janmabhoomi'ssenior photographer Anil Gopi.
With giants like Mathrubhoomi, Malayala Manorama and CPM'sDeshabimani in the field, the honour for Janmabhoomi is no mean achievement.
The award and cash prize to Anil Gopi, who has been with Janmabhoomi for past 10 years, was presented by Chief Minister V.S. Atchudanandan. The award is instituted in memory of Malayala Manorama photographer Victor George, who died while capturing a landslide, in lens. (S.C.)
