Smt Nirmal Mahajan, patron of Sewa Bharati Delhi, passed away in Dehradun on June 14. She was 73. She had gone to Haridwar and Dehradun where she suffered a cardiac arrest. She was cremated in Delhi. Smt. Mahajan was associated with Sewa Bharati for the last two and a half decades. She took voluntary retirement from service to fully dedicate herself to the service activities of Sewa Bharati. She was the main force behind creating the large network of women with Sewa Bharati. Describing Smt Mahajan as an inspiration for the workers, Sahsarkaryavah Shri Suresh Soni said in this age she used to visit the Sewa Bastis to wipe out the tears of needy people. Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramukh Shri Prem Chand Goel described the death of Smt Mahajan as a major loss of Sewa Bharati. (FOC)
