Swami Satyamitranand Giri, founder of Bharatmata Mandir, Haridwar and chairman of Shri Guruji Birth Centenary Celebration Committee, has said the people seeking caste-based reservation for their political gains, are, in fact, crippling the country. Speaking at a function held in Jalandhar to celebrate the Birth Centenary Year of Shri Guruji, he said all countrymen are the sons of one Bharatmata and they cannot be divided on the basis of caste. ?Under this system if any distance has developed at any period of time or the rights of any particular section of people have been suppressed or snatched away, we must today teach them for unity and integrity of the country so that they may come closer to us. The system of reservation may lead the country to disintegration,? he warned. He called upon the people to extend rights to the underprivileged people, celebrate festivals with them and accept them from the core of their hearts. He said following the ideals of Shri Guruji was need of the hour. He said the common system based on the difference of caste or faith being created for political gains could not be accepted at all. He also released a book about Shri Guruji'svisit in Punjab.
