Diwali-Id Milan in Delhi

Sve to decide how far and how much they have to move with life and whether they still want to live as haters of or in harmony with the people of other communities. It is because of some fundamentalists amongst Muslims that the entire Muslim community is looked at with suspicious eyes. Since we all share common ancestors, country as well as culture, then why these disputes? The need of the hour is that we all should sit together and try to resolve the problems. If we have differences on 1,000 issues, we should sit together, discuss the problems and today if we successfully resolve one issue, we shall sit again to resolve the remaining 999 issues. The day will come when the whole bitterness will be washed away,? said Shri Indresh Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh of RSS. He was speaking at a Diwali-Id Milan organised by the Rashtrawadi Muslim Andolan and Mohammad Ismail Memorial Social Welfare Society at Bara Hindu Rao in Delhi on November 18.

He appealed to the Muslims and Christians not to call themselves minority as the word was basically used by the UNO for foreigners living in any country. ?In the eyes of the RSS, Muslims are Indian by religion and country. Live as owners and not as a minority and honour the ancestors who are common,? he said. Shri Indresh Kumar pointed out that there were 62 Dar-ul-Islam countries in the world, but nowhere did the non-Muslims have equal rights. It is seen only in India.

Taking about Kashmir, he warned that Kashmir would face a major threat from Christianity by 2011 when both Islam and Kashmiri people would confront the crisis of their identity. Shri Arif Beg, veteran BJP leader, said that Muslims and Hindus should remove the differences and both should jointly work for making the country the strongest power of the world. ?A powerful and happy country should be the destination of all of us,? he said.

?Pramod Kumar
