Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, the leading organisation of farmers of the country, has asked all state governments and the Central government to take quick and concrete steps to fight against drought that has hit nearly 48 districts of the country adversely. Shri Devnarayan Singh, national executive committee member of the Kisan Sangh, while addressing the Kisan Sangh activists at a two-day meeting held in Ranchi recently said that the drought would affect the agriculture output and economy adversely. He urged the government to set up a Farmer'sDevelopment Fund and write off loans of farmers belonging to the drought-affected areas.
