On February 1, 2026, the Dimapur Hindu Society organised a Vishal Hindu Sammelan at the DDSC Stadium, Dimapur, drawing participation from more than 4,400 people from across Nagaland and neighbouring regions. The Sammelan emerged as a significant platform for cultural assertion, social harmony, and reflection on national responsibilities in the larger interest of Rashtrahit.

The programme was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Sadasya of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); Sunita Haldekar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sarkaryavahika of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti; Ramesh Kumar Muni; and noted social thinker Dr. Thunbai. Their presence added intellectual depth and a national perspective to the Sammelan.

Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the importance of cultural self-awareness, social cohesion, and national unity, especially in the context of Northeast Bharat. Emphasis was laid on the role of Sanatan values in strengthening Bharat’s civilisational ethos and fostering harmony among diverse communities.

Dr Manmohan Vaidya underscored that Bharat’s strength lies in its cultural continuity and collective consciousness, urging society to work beyond divisions for the larger national cause. Speakers also stressed the need for youth participation in nation-building and the preservation of indigenous and spiritual traditions.

The Sammelan witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups, reflecting a growing awareness of cultural identity and national responsibility. The event concluded with a collective resolve to contribute positively towards social unity, cultural renaissance, and the vision of a strong and harmonious Bharat.
The Hindu Sammelan at Dimapur stands as a meaningful step in reinforcing the ideals of national integration and cultural awakening, aligning with the broader vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
