J&K BJP OBC Morcha presented 50,000 diyas to Sat Sharma under the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative to mark PM Modi’s birthday

JAMMU: The local leaders here in Jammu have decided to send a present to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Rajya Sabha member Sat Sharma. In a unique initiative ahead of the birth anniversary of PM Modi, the BJP OBC Morcha has presented 50,000 diyas (earthen lamps) to BJP J&K President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma CA.

This is a part of the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme being organised by the Morcha to mark the PM’s birthday on September 17. On Thursday evening, the BJP will light diyas at the Dogra Chowk in Jammu from 6 pm to 7 pm gathering at the spot in large numbers. Incidentally, Dogra Chowk is named after the Praja Parishad stalwart late Pandit Prem Nath Dogra.

The diyas were presented by Braham Jyot Satti, State President, BJP OBC Morcha J&K, along with the entire team of office bearers of the Morcha on Tuesday. The initiative marks the first programme being organised by the BJP OBC Morcha J&K under the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ campaign, which has been conceived to seek blessings and good wishes for the long and healthy life of PM Modi.

On the occasion, the BJP OBC Morcha J&K extended its warmest greetings and best wishes to PM Modi on his birthday and prayed for his long life, good health and continued strength to serve the nation. The Morcha leaders said that the PM’s leadership has inspired millions of people across the country and that the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative is a humble expression of the affection, respect and blessings of the people towards him.

Rajeev Charak and Bharat Bhushan (BJP State Vice Presidents), Gopal Mahajan (BJP State General Secretary), Dr. Narinder Singh (MLA R.S. Pura), Yudhvir Sethi (MLA East), Devyani Singh Rana (MLA Nagrota), Dr. Rajeev Bhagat (MLA Bishnah), Davinder Kumar (State President, SC Morcha), Vijay Saini and Suresh Salgotra (State Vice Presidents, OBC Morcha), Sunny Sangotra (State General Secretary, OBC Morcha), Ashok Salgotra (State Secretary, OBC Morcha), Hans Raj and Bodh Raj (State Spokespersons, OBC Morcha), Ram Pal (State Treasurer, OBC Morcha), Vinod Choudhary (State Publicity Secretary, OBC Morcha), Manohar Babbar (State Executive Member, OBC Morcha), Arun Sethi (District President, Jammu OBC Morcha), and Charanjeet Saini (District President, OBC Morcha Jammu Border) were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma CA, BJP J&K President and MP, Rajya Sabha, appreciated the BJP OBC Morcha for taking up the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative and presenting 50,000 diyas as part of the celebrations.

Sat Sharma said that PM Modi has given a new direction to the country through his vision of `Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, with particular emphasis on the empowerment of weaker and marginalised sections of society. He said that the OBC community has received greater recognition, opportunities and representation under the leadership of PM Modi.

He further stated that the PM’s birthday is an occasion for party workers and citizens to reaffirm their commitment to nation-building and public service. He appreciated the dedication of the OBC Morcha workers and said that initiatives such as ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ strengthen the emotional bond between the organisation, its workers and the people.

Sat Sharma conveyed his best wishes to PM Modi and expressed hope that he would continue to lead the country with the same vision, energy and dedication for many more years.

Braham Jyot Satti, State President, BJP OBC Morcha J&K, said that the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme is a humble initiative of the OBC Morcha to express the affection, respect and blessings of the people of J&K for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.

He said that the presentation of 50,000 diyas marks the beginning of the OBC Morcha’s ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme in J&K and that the initiative would further strengthen the message of unity, service and goodwill. He said that every diya symbolises the prayers and blessings of the people for the PM’s long life, good health and continued success in serving the nation.

He further said that under PM Modi’s leadership, the OBC community has witnessed a new sense of empowerment and dignity. He highlighted the government’s focus on inclusive development, social justice and opportunities for the weaker sections and said that the OBC Morcha would continue working at the grassroots level to take the message of development and public welfare to every section of society.

The BJP OBC Morcha workers reiterated their commitment to making the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme a meaningful expression of the people’s affection and blessings for PM Modi and wished him a long, healthy and successful life on the occasion of his birthday.
