RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale expresses solidarity with Nepal flood victims
NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale on August 26 expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to people affected and injured by the devastating floods in Nepal’s northern border areas.
In a statement, Hosabale said that severe flooding on Wednesday morning affected the districts of Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Chitwan and East Nawalparasi. Thousands of people have been affected by the disaster in these districts.
“We are all ready to extend our support to those affected by this disaster and will make every possible effort to provide assistance,” Hosabale said.
He also appealed to people to come forward and extend all possible assistance in the wake of the unprecedented situation.
Meanwhile, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) also expressed deep condolences over the loss of life and property caused by the natural disaster along the Tibet-Nepal border.
VHP said that the severe flow of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa following the natural disaster has resulted in heavy loss of life and property. The statement reads that the VHP and the entire Hindu society stand with Nepali society, affected families and communities during this hour of crisis.
The VHP also expressed concern and deep sorrow over the crisis faced by pilgrims travelling to Kailash Mansarovar.
VHP General Secretary Bajrang Bagda said the organisation has decided to collect relief material and financial assistance from Indian society, in addition to the various forms of assistance being provided by the Government of India, and make these available to the victims in the affected areas.
