According to the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, a case was registered at Bijnor police station on April 7, 2026, following a complaint by Manisha Singh. Police said the accused, along with her associates, prepared forged documents relating to the complainant’s land and used a fake identity in the name of Manisha Singh to facilitate the registration of the property.

Police said the accused subsequently obtained a loan against the land and shared the proceeds with her associates. Naseem Bano allegedly used forged Aadhaar and PAN cards as part of the fraudulent process.
The case names Naseem Bano, Seema Dang, Subhash Chandra and Ankit Singh as accused. Following the registration of the case, two police teams were formed on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, to trace and arrest those involved.

Using technical surveillance, manual evidence and local intelligence, police arrested Naseem Bano alias Nasso on August 18. She was subsequently produced before the court. Police said efforts are continuing to locate the other accused named in the case.

During interrogation, Naseem Bano reportedly told police that she and her associates had prepared forged identity documents, including Aadhaar and PAN cards. These documents were then used to register the land by misusing the name and identity of the real Manisha Singh, police said.

The arrested accused, wife of late Sadaqat Hussain, is originally from the Indiranagar police station area and is currently residing on Campus Road in Lucknow. Police said the accused was booked at Bijnor police station under Sections 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(2) and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The arresting team comprised Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar, Sub-Inspector Tejveer Singh and Lady Sub-Inspector Shashibala.
