CJP Protest Exposes Opposition: Shield violent protesters in Delhi, attack peaceful citizens in their states

Across Bharat's political landscape, the opposition's selective outrage has exposed a stark and indefensible double standard. While fiercely decrying law enforcement actions in New Delhi to shield disruptive agitators, these same leaders routinely deploy brute state force and oversee systemic governance failures within their own ruled states

CJP protest exposes the double standards of opposition parties

The opposition’s vocal outrage over police action during the recent Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests lays bare an unmistakable double standard, exposing selective political moralising driven purely by opportunistic motives. While Congress and its alliance partners condemn law enforcement for maintaining public order in the national capital, they deliberately ignore how these agitators unleashed widespread violence and anarchy across the streets.

Far from being a peaceful exercise in civil liberties, the recent CJP demonstrations degenerated into orchestrated lawlessness. Mobs armed with stones, bottles, and weapons explicitly targeted police personnel-injuring scores of officers-while assaulting media crews trying to report from the ground, vandalising public property, and terrorising everyday citizens. Yet, the opposition selectively ignores this blatant attempt to manufacture chaos and hold the capital hostage.

Even more glaring is their hypocrisy when contrasted with their own state-level governance. From forceful police crackdowns on demonstrators in Karnataka and Kerala to stern administrative enforcement in Punjab, non-BJP state governments routinely resort to batons, tear gas, and detentions to crush dissent. Their fiery defence of fundamental rights vanishes the moment they take the administrative helm, proving that their outrage over law enforcement dealing with mob violence is less about civil liberties and more about scoring cheap political points against the central administration.

This report chronicles the blatant hypocrisies of opposition-led administrations where law enforcement relentlessly manhandles and baton-charges demonstrators in states like Punjab, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Heavy-handed Congress govt crushes agrarian patriots resisting KIADB land grab in Chikkaballapur

Tensions reached a boiling point in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district in April 2026 as state law enforcement unleashed high-handed force against peaceful, hardworking agrarian families courageously defending their ancestral heritage. For over a month, patriotic local farmers in Shidlaghatta taluk have been staging a desperate stand to safeguard their fertile agricultural lands-the very backbone of rural livelihoods and national food security-against the Congress government’s aggressive, heavy-handed acquisition drive under the KIADB. Instead of respecting native landholders or offering constructive dialogue, the state administration responded with massive police deployments, rigid barricading, and brutal dispersal tactics, leaving several innocent cultivators injured. Opposition leaders and grassroots nationalist groups have fiercely slammed the state apparatus for its authoritarian overreach, accusing the Congress regime of trampling upon fundamental rural rights, pandering to speculative interests, and waging a callous war on India’s agricultural heartland.

State heavy-handedness and political opportunism exposed as Punjab crackdown sparks violent clashes

The blatant hypocrisy of non-governing political forces stood exposed once again in Khanna, Punjab, recently where the AAP administration unleashed brutal state authority-employing heavy lathi charges, tear gas shells, and high-pressure water cannons-against hundreds of contractual MGNREGA workers demanding eight months of unpaid wages and job regularisation. What began as a peaceful rally by rural workers turned into chaos when law enforcement forcefully prevented them from submitting a memorandum at Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond’s residence. The violent crackdown left at least ten demonstrators injured, including a resident who suffered fractures in both legs, while several police personnel were also hurt as order completely broke down.

Meanwhile, political parties like the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-who routinely sanction similar heavy-handed police actions when power shifts to their own states-quickened to feign outrage and lecture on civil liberties. Leaders like Warring, Badal, and Bajwa decried the “police state” and “dictatorship” in Punjab, convenient in their silence regarding identical crackdowns ordered under their own past or regional administrations. This opportunistic posturing highlights a familiar double standard: treating police action as essential law enforcement when they hold the helm but crying tyranny the moment the batons fall under a political rival’s watch.

Punjab crackdown exposes AAP’s hypocrisy: Brutality on unemployed youth & shielding violent Delhi agitators

The violent crackdown and brutal police lathi-charge on peaceful apprentice linemen protesting outside the PSPCL headquarters in Patiala recently have laid bare the staggering double standards and political hypocrisy of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). When operating in New Delhi, AAP leaders and their allies relentlessly lecture the nation on democratic rights, vehemently opposing police action and decrying standard law-enforcement measures even when anti-CAA or leftist agitators resort to open violence, vandalism, and anarchy in the national capital.

Yet, in their own ruled state of Punjab, the regime deploys an entirely different and ruthless logic-unleashing heavy-handed state machinery, injuring jobseekers and slapping police charges on over 160 unemployed local youth whose only offense was demanding that the government honour its own solemn recruitment promises. This stark contradiction-sensationalising law enforcement in Delhi while using brute force to crush peaceful apprentices forced to climb transmission towers for basic livelihoods in Patiala-exposes an opportunistic political agenda that champions anarchy for electoral gains elsewhere while meting out unyielding state brutality at home.

Kerala’s violent crackdown exposes opposition hypocrisy: Shielding Delhi agitators While suppressing protests at home

The severe police action in Kerala in June 2025, where state forces deployed lathi-charges, tear gas, and water cannons against radical demonstrators attempting to blockade Calicut International Airport-has starkly exposed the flagrant double standards and political hypocrisy of the opposition. When operating in New Delhi, these very same political factions ceaselessly attack law-enforcement agencies, screaming “authoritarianism” and condemning necessary security measures even when agitators resort to open violence, blockade public infrastructure, or disrupt civic life.

Yet, in their own ruled territory, the leftist regime applies an entirely different logic, employing heavy-handed police tactics, firing tear gas shells, and arresting top leaders of Islamist organisations like the Solidarity Youth Movement and SIO the moment an essential transport link is threatened. This glaring contradiction-championing chaotic street protests and criminal blockades in the national capital while using brute state power to crush similar disruptions in Kerala-proves that the opposition’s outrage over democratic rights is nothing more than opportunistic political theatre designed to weaken central authorities while ruthlessly maintaining control in their own backyards.

Opposition’s double standards exposed: Shielding violent agitators in Delhi while suppressing student protests in Keralam

The violent clashes following the Kerala University election results—where police resorted to tear gas and lathi-charges while booking over 50 SFI workers-have once again exposed the blatant hypocrisy and double standards of the opposition. When operating in New Delhi, these very political factions shamelessly decry law enforcement, screaming “authoritarianism” and condemning police action even when violent agitators, radical mobs, or anti-CAA protesters attack law enforcement and disrupt public order in the national capital. Yet, in their own ruled state of Kerala, the leftist regime adopts an entirely different, iron-fisted approach-deploying tear gas, charging student activists, and using full state power the moment campus rivalries boil over on their home turf. This stark contradiction-defending lawlessness and condemning police restraint in Delhi while unleashing force against university students in Thiruvananthapuram-proves that the opposition’s rhetoric on democratic rights is nothing more than opportunistic political drama used to undermine central authority while ruthlessly crushing dissent under its own governance.

AAP’s hypocrisy unmasked: Moralising in Delhi while uncovering massive recruitment scams at home

The unravelling of a massive, high-tech cheating syndicate in Punjab’s Pharmacy Officer Recruitment Examination-where racketeers charged desperate candidates up to Rs13 lakh to feed answers via concealed spy devices-has exposed the glaring double standards and sham integrity of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. While AAP leaders tirelessly parade through New Delhi manufacturing outrage over national exams and casting aspersions on central agencies, they maintain a deafening silence when rampant corruption and recruitment scams explode under their own watch in Punjab. This shameless hypocrisy-claiming the moral high ground and attacking central governance in the national capital while overseeing systemic exam frauds, broken recruitment promises, and the exploitation of job-seeking youth in their own state-proves that AAP’s political rhetoric is purely opportunistic theatre designed to distract from their glaring governance failures at home.

When viewed together, these recurring incidents lay bare a glaring pattern of political opportunism that defines the opposition’s approach to governance and law enforcement. In New Delhi, political factions preach restraint, decry necessary security measures, and shield lawless agitators under the guise of defending democratic rights. Yet, the moment they hold power in states like Punjab or Kerala, Karnataka that principle vanishes-replaced by heavy-handed police crackdowns on peaceful jobseekers, tear gas deployed against student groups, and silent complicity as massive recruitment scams unfold under their watch. This stark divide between national grandstanding and state-level iron-fisted rule confirms that their outrage over civil liberties and transparency is merely a selective political weapon, completely discarded whenever accountability lands at their own doorstep.
