Tarun Vijay presents copy of his book 'Saffron Surge' to RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat
NEW DELHI: Author and former Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay presented a copy of his latest book, Saffron Surge: Making of a Brave, New Bharat, to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat at the RSS headquarters, Keshav Kunj, in New Delhi.
The meeting was attended by senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, historian and economist Sanjeev Sanyal, Delhi RSS Sanghchalak Dr Anil Agrawal, and Ashish Anand of Haranand Publishers, among others.
Saffron Surge: Making of a Brave, New Bharat examines what the author describes as India’s civilisational and ideological transformation, tracing the evolution of the country’s cultural and national consciousness from the colonial era to the present. Drawing on his experiences in public life, Tarun Vijay presents his perspective on the growth of Hindu nationalist thought and its influence on contemporary India.
The book features an extensive foreword by Dr Mohan Bhagwat, in which the RSS Sarsanghchalak describes Tarun Vijay as both “a witness as well as an active participant” in the developments chronicled in the book. He writes that the work offers “running commentary with analysis and suggestions” and says it would be valuable for those working towards India’s resurgence and its aspiration to become a Vishwa Guru.
The publication also carries a prologue by RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, who characterises it as a “romantic contemporary history” of India’s ideological transformation. It further includes endorsements from author Amish Tripathi and RSS thinker Ratan Sharda.
During the interaction, Tarun Vijay spoke about the ideas that inspired the book and its focus on India’s cultural resurgence, civilisational consciousness, and nation-building. Published by Haranand Publishers, Saffron Surge: Making of a Brave, New Bharat is available through major bookstores and online platforms.
