Pakistani politician, MP and the Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal, Fazal-ur-Rehman exposed the military atrocities of Pakistan during the Kargil war in 1999. He explained how Islamabad concealed the identity of the soldiers killed in the war and has not released the extent of casualties till date. The list of Pakistani security personnel killed in the Kargil war is more than hundred, however, Islamabad & Rawalpindi have not released the official numbers and names, to seal fake victory against India.
“Did you ever tell the nation how many were martyred in Kargil and how many bodies were received? You were not even ready to receive the bodies of your own martyrs”. With this, Fazal-ur-Rehman has pushed Pakistan into a huge global embarrassment, by revealing its true fate in Kargil war. He also criticised the government in Islamabad and the Pakistani military as Balochistan and Khyber Phaktunkwa are flipping out of control and as the regions were “drowning in blood”.

Criticising the Pakistan military, Fazal-ur-Rehman said, “I know your authority in my province. You have no government. You are just sitting inside your grand bungalows in the capitals, legs crossed, thinking you are the rulers. At the very least, in my province, you have no government”. Fazal-ur-Rehamn, thus, exposed the reality of the Pakistan Army.
“In Balochistan, in the Baloch areas, there were rebellions. The entire Baloch region has slipped out of Pakistan’s control. Even today, there is no writ of the Pakistan government there”, Fazal-ur-Rehman, further exposed the real fate of the Pakistan government and military & how disintegrated the country is domestically.
Fazal-ur-Reha further took a sharp jibe at the Pakistan military and said that the security personnel are failing to protect citizens, despite being paid from public taxes. “What favour are you doing me by throwing your blood on me? You are taking your salary from the taxes of my blood and sweat for precisely this”, Fazal-ur-Rehman further criticised the Pakistan Army, for leading extravagant lives with public money and not protecting their lives.
“I have taken no salary; I will not form any army. You will leave, but you are pushing my homeland towards personal vendettas for generations to come, pushing it towards murder and plunder forever and ever. Explain this politics to someone else; don’t try to explain it to us”, he further added.

With this sharp and direct confrontation, Fazal-ur-Rehman, challenged the Army to take off the uniform and contest in elections. “If you want to do politics, then take off the uniform and come; participate in the elections and it will become clear what votes people give to those in uniform. It is your prerogative to give government to whomever you want and to snatch it away from whomever you wish”, Fazal-ur-Rehamn stated by mirroring reality of the Pakistan Army, among the people of the country.
The prominent religious and political leader of Pakistan Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman thus launched a fiercest attack on the Pakistan Army and exposed its failures, loopholes and atrocities. He reiterated how Pakistan abandoned its own soldiers during the Kargil war, just to conceal its failures against India. The remarks by Fazal-ur-Rehman, reflected the dissatisfaction about Asim Munir and Rawalpindi, present among the socio-political and religious landscape of Pakistan.
“All energies are being utilised solely to strengthen the political grip”, he expressed how political and military domination over the country has been given more weightage in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, than fulfilling constitutional responsibilities. Such dissatisfaction and angst against Islamabad and Asim Munir, has been resurfacing and hitting headlines in the recent days, from various sections of Pakistan. This reflects, steep disorientation among the people of the country, where the situation is slipping out of the control of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
