NEW DELHI: The two-day meeting of the Kendriye Prabandh Samiti of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was held on July 19–20, 2026, at Terapanth Bhavan, Chhatarpur. The office-bearers and samiti members from across the country participated in the meeting. After detailed deliberations on contemporary national and social issues, several important resolutions were passed.

The samiti emphasised the need to protect and strengthen the family system, which has been the foundational strength of Bharatiya society. The resolution stated that the Bharatiya family structure has, for centuries, kept society culturally rooted, organised, and bound by emotional ties. It noted that present-day challenges require serious attention at both societal and governmental levels.

The resolution expressed concern that certain judicial decisions have adversely affected the traditional family structure, citing the recognition of extramarital relationships, legal acceptance of live-in relationships, and recognition of homosexuality. It called for wider consultations and appropriate legislation to prevent damage to the family institution.

The VHP also decided to launch a nationwide public awareness campaign for Parivar Prabodhan and the protection of family values.

The samiti expressed deep concern over reports that the commission report related to the brutal killing of Pujya Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati in Kandhamal, Odisha, has gone missing and has not been made public.

The samiti demanded that the CBI ensure an impartial investigation into the entire matter. The VHP said that bringing out the truth in this issue of national importance is essential for justice and public confidence. It also called for a complete ban on religious conversions in Odisha.

A special statement was passed on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas. The VHP said that his message of social harmony, equality, spiritual awakening, and human dignity continues to inspire the entire society.

The organisation resolved to hold various programmes across the country to take his message to every section of society.

The samiti noted that September 27, 2026, marks the birth anniversary of Ashok ji Singhal, one of the principal architects of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. It was decided that throughout the year, his unparalleled contributions to Hindu society would be taken to the masses.

The VHP announced that during his birth centenary year, special emphasis would be laid on organisational expansion. The meeting highlighted Ashok ji Singhal’s leadership in strengthening the Ram Temple movement, promoting Hindu awakening, advancing social harmony, encouraging cow-based agriculture, and expanding efforts related to cow protection and conservation.

It was also stated that Vedic schools would be developed as centres for the revival of ancient knowledge tradition. The VHP noted that Ashok ji Singhal played a key role in establishing the organisation as a powerful force and that his visionary ideas and tireless efforts infused new consciousness into Hindu society.

The samiti concluded with a collective resolve to organise Hindu society, protect Sanatan values, and play an active role in activities related to national interest.
