Lucknow: A shocking incident has emerged after a video allegedly showed a milkman, identified as Arif from Imalia Sultanpur, spitting into a milk container around four times before delivering it to a house. According to media reports, members of the Hindu Sher Sena had received prior information that the milk seller was allegedly engaging in such an act. Acting on the tip-off, they reportedly laid a trap and recorded a video that shows the accused spitting into the milk before delivering it to customers. Disturbed by what was seen in the footage, they immediately approached the UP police and lodged a complaint against him.

On the basis of the complaint, police detained the accused and began their investigation. During questioning, Kotwali in-charge Amar Singh said the accused denied spitting into the milk and claimed that he was only smelling it to check whether the milk had gone bad. Police have registered a preventive case against him under charges related to breach of peace.

Incidents like this raise serious concerns about food safety and public hygiene. Milk is one of the most commonly used food items in Indian families every day. The incident quickly went viral on social media, where users expressed shock and anger. Many demanded strict legal action against the accused and called for stronger measures to ensure food safety. Several people also highlighted the need for consumers to remain alert and report any suspicious behaviour involving food delivery and other essential services.
