The United Nations has slammed Pakistan and has debunked its fake narratives around the reckless strikes in the territory of Afghanistan. For more than a year, Islamabad has been escalating cross-border conflict with Kabul and is conducting relentless airstrikes in the border areas, leading to the death of women, children and innocent civilians. However, Pakistan is channelising these brutal attacks under the veil of counter-terrorism operations. It is a clear stunt to conceal the terror motives of Islamabad & other domestic misdeeds, as the nation is a fertile bed nurturing world’s most notorious terror outfits.
Exclaiming about the recent strikes on the Afghan territory, Pakistan falsely claimed that it killed 28 militants. However, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan(UNAMA) reiterated that 29 civilians were killed and more than 49 people have been severely injured in the air strikes inflicted by Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Taliban government in Kabul has said that 38 civilians have been killed in the Pakistani airstrikes. The UN also anticipated that the death toll could further rise, owing to serious injuries.
Pakistani airstrikes have killed dozens of people in Afghanistan, with Islamabad saying it targeted militants but the Afghan government reporting civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, the hospitals in Afghanistan are flooded with the victims who are prone to the airstrikes of Islamabad. The treatment is continuously ongoing for the injured. Pakistan has also warned that it will further escalate the strikes and conflict with Afghanistan, as a part of its counter-terrorism operations. However, as mentioned counter-terrorism is a mask Islamabad is wearing to cover its internal terror loopholes. Pakistan conducted airstrikes on three provinces of Afghanistan which are Paktia, Paktika and Kunar.
Afghanistan also said that the jets and bombs intruding from Pakistan hit a home in Paktia province. While residents were rushing to help the wounded, there was a second strike on the same area, Afghan government and local authorities further added. “Everyone was asleep when the aircraft came and began attacking this house. Inside the house were children, women, men and elderly people”, a local resident reiterated.
Meanwhile, repeated Pakistani strikes on Afghan territories are causing a serious humanitarian crisis as many civilians are displaced and homeless. The United Nations also urged the government to protect the civilian infrastructure. Thus, the propaganda of Pakistan about counter-terrorism operations has been refuted by an independent UN investigation.
India slams Pakistan for breaching Afghan sovereignty
Meanwhile, India has severely slammed Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan. India on June 29, Monday strongly condemned the Pakistani air strikes on Afghan territory that resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children. New Delhi called the action a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a threat to regional peace and stability. India also expressed its unwavering support to Afghan sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the strikes reflect “Pakistan’s persistent pattern of reckless behaviour” and accused Islamabad of attempting to shift attention from its internal challenges. “India strongly condemns Pakistan’s air-strikes on Afghan territory that have resulted in several civilian casualties, including women and children. This blatant act of aggression by Pakistan is an assault on Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional peace and stability”, the MEA said.
The Ministry further stated that the incident is indicative of a broader pattern of conduct by Pakistan. “It reflects Pakistan’s persistent pattern of reckless behaviour and its futile attempt to externalize internal failures through desperate acts of violence beyond its borders”, the statement further added. India also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the reported strikes.
